Who: Going into 9th Grade & Up

Capacity: Limited to 12 players

Program Dates: June 22 – August 7

Program Overview

This is not a typical summer training program.

The RULLA Summer Empowerment Program is a high school preseason preparation program designed to help athletes grow mentally, emotionally, technically, and personally before the fall season.

This program combines technical training, mental performance, emotional awareness, journaling, meditation, personal accountability, and intentional summer development. The goal is to help each player take ownership of their growth and enter the high school season more prepared, more confident, more self-aware, and more connected to who they are.

A major part of this program is the Parent + Player Development Meeting. After the opening intensive week, each player and parent will meet with me to review the player’s goals, four pillars, and personal areas of growth. From there, we will build a personalized summer development plan, align expectations with the family’s schedule, and create accountability between the player, parent, and coach.

This ensures the player is not just inspired after the first week, but supported with structure, clarity, and a realistic plan for the rest of the summer.

The program is built to help athletes pursue success without losing sight of their values, identity, and integrity. It is for players who want more than extra touches — it is for athletes who want to understand themselves deeper, train with more intention, and step into preseason with confidence, ownership, and purpose.

Program Structure

Phase 1: Intensive Week

June 22 – June 26
5-Day Foundation Week

Training Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Session Time: 9:00AM-10:30AM

This week sets the foundation for the entire summer. Each day builds on the next and helps players create clarity around who they are, what matters to them, and what it will take to grow. While the main focus of this week is personal development, reflection, and self-awareness, each day will also include a ball-mastery segment designed to help players get up to 1,000 intentional touches on the ball.

Day 1 — Defining the 4 Pillars

Players will identify four key areas of their life, with soccer being one of them.

Examples may include:

Soccer

Family

School

Personal growth

Faith

Health

Relationships

Players will define what success looks like in each area and begin understanding what is truly important to them.

Key takeaway:
Players learn how to identify what matters most and begin building their development around those values.

Day 2 — Internal Awareness

Players will be introduced to stillness, reflection, and honest self-awareness.

They will slow down, reflect on their four pillars, and evaluate where they currently stand in each area. This creates space for them to see how they have been showing up and where growth is needed.

Key takeaway:
Players develop the ability to clearly visualize their goals, connect with what matters to them, and make their pillars feel real — not just like ideas written on paper.

Day 3 — Actionable Steps for Success

Players will define clear, actionable steps connected to the success they described in their four pillars.

The focus is on helping them understand that success requires structure, choices, habits, and daily responsibility.

Key takeaway:
Players learn what it actually takes to be successful and begin creating a realistic plan to move forward.

Day 4 — Mind-Body Connection

Players will learn meditation and reflection techniques that help them connect their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses.

They will begin recognizing what their body is communicating — anxiety, excitement, hesitation, confidence, fear, or readiness — and how to respond with awareness instead of reacting automatically.

Journaling will be used to turn that awareness into clear, intentional next steps.

Key takeaway:
Players learn how to feel into their body, observe their mind, and take intentional action instead of feeling stuck. This is a key skill for training on their own, staying locked in, and building emotional control.

Day 5 — Integration & Application

Players will bring everything together through stillness, clarity, visualization, and reflection.

They will work on seeing themselves in success, feeling worthy of that success, and understanding what it looks like to live, train, and act in alignment with the goals they have created.

Key takeaway:
Players leave the intensive week with a clearer picture of who they are, what they want, what matters to them, and what it will take to move forward.

Phase 2: Parent + Player Development Meeting

June 29 – July 3

Following the intensive week, each player and parent will have a guided development meeting on google meets.

During this meeting, we will:

1. Review the player’s goals and four pillars

2. Build a personalized summer development plan

3. Align training with the family’s schedule

4. Establish clear expectations for the remainder of the summer

5. Refine what it will take for the player to be successful in soccer

6. Create accountability between player, parent, and coach

7. This meeting is designed to make sure the player is not just inspired, but supported with a clear plan.

Phase 3: Development Phase

July 6 – July 31
1 Session Per Week

Mondays 9AM-10AM

Players will meet once per week for mental performance, reflection, and accountability.

Each session will include a combination of:

1. Meditation and breath work

2. Journaling

3. Accountability check-ins

4. Reflection on progress

5. Personalized development goals

The focus during this phase is helping players stay consistent, take ownership of their summer, and continue building the habits needed to enter preseason prepared.

Phase 4: Final Intensive Week

August 3 – August 7

Training Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Session Time: 9:00AM-10:30AM

The program will finish with a final intensive week leading into the high school season.

This final phase will combine mindfulness, technical training, confidence work, and preparation for the demands of preseason.

The goal is to help players finish the summer feeling sharp, grounded, focused, and ready to compete.
